Yury Revich was always keen on composing his own music since he was a child. He started exploring this by writing his own cadenzas to the violin concertos he performed on stage from an early age.
Global Covid19 pandemic gave Yury a lot of time to find much inspiration as a composer. He recently released his own orchestration of all 24 caprices by Paganini on edition Doblinger. His next premiere is with Salzburg Philharmonie in April 2022, performing his Awakening Violin Concerto. This piece is inspired by climate change and the urge to take action. Yury is currently working on the music score for the musical Playing A Part, to be premiered in 2023.
Other works include a selection of music inspired by nature:
(Miniatures like East and West, Scirocco, Deep Water, Rainy Promenade, etc.)
Green Anthem (in collaboration with United Nations Environment Program)
Galaxonata (in collaboration with International Space Week in Israel)
MOTO and LAYERS (together with Christian Axt, Argentinian composer based in Vienna and specialising in climate related issues)
Yury is also passionately exploring electronic soundscapes and works on several projects with other electronic artists such as Gabriel Prokofiev and co-writes on different tracks with other artists from the electronic scene.
